Wedge barriers rise from the roadway to block a lane and lower to let traffic pass. The Ameristar Model 828 is crash tested to ASTM F2656-15 M50 P1, stopping a 15,000 lb vehicle at up to 50 mph.
Its shallow-mount design is made for existing paved surfaces, so a site can add a crash-rated wedge barrier without major excavation. Pre-built access points for drains, hydraulic conduit and electrical simplify site work, and the internal rebar is installed at the factory.
