Overview

About PVC Cladding

PVC cladding is a wall and ceiling finish made entirely of cellular PVC, with no wood fiber in the core. It is used on exterior walls, soffits, porch ceilings, outdoor kitchens and wet areas where moisture would cause wood to swell, rot or grow mildew. Because PVC does not absorb water and resists insects, it suits coastal homes, poolside structures and shaded areas that stay damp. It can be cut and fastened with standard carpentry tools, which keeps installation familiar for crews.

This page features TimberTech Advanced PVC Cladding, an all-PVC board for walls, soffits and ceilings that see regular moisture. Compare its color and grain options against the siding, trim and decking already on the house, and plan any matching trim pieces with the same order. Because PVC expands and contracts with temperature, follow the manufacturer's installation guide for fastening and gaps. If you want to compare other cladding materials or brands, Axiom South can quote alternatives on request.

How to choose

  • Is the area wet, shaded or close to a pool or the water?
  • Do you prefer an all-PVC board or a composite with more wood feel?
  • Which colors and grain patterns match the rest of the house?
  • Have you allowed for thermal expansion per the manufacturer's installation guide?
  • Do you need matching trim, corners or J-channel from the same line?
  • What is your lead time and delivery window for the job?
