About Oxford Avalon Barrier
Avalon is Oxford Plastics' pedestrian barrier for street works and construction. A patented hook-and-pin fishtail link joins barriers quickly, and low-profile anti-trip feet keep walkways clear while the line follows uneven ground.
The 79 in barrier is 39 in high and weighs 24 lb, and a 39 in barrier (42 in long, 19 lb) and a 20 in reflective section (26 in long, 4 lb) fill shorter gaps. Both larger sizes come with ClearPath or standard feet. Barriers are orange, with a black 40 lb double-sided ballast base. Per Oxford, a 79 in barrier on its own resists wind up to 20 mph, and up to 40 mph with 88 lb of ballast. ClearPath extra feet, spigots, reflective strips and ballast trays are available.
