About Ameristar Aegis II Xtreme
Aegis II Xtreme is built for bridge and highway work. It uses a dual ForeRunner Xtreme rail with an internal galvanized retaining rod and no external fasteners. Ameristar engineers it to meet AASHTO LRFD pedestrian bridge railing requirements, is Buy American Act compliant and is made in the USA.
Panels come in 2-rail and 3-rail versions at 3 1/2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 ft heights with 4 in standard picket airspace. Pickets are 1 in square 14 ga, rails are 1.75 x 3.5 in 14 ga and posts are 4 in square 11 ga. The rail is galvanized inside and out and finished with PermaCoat powder coat over pre-galvanized steel after an 11-stage preparation, with a dual top coat. Connections allow variable pitch and are biasable. Styles include Classic, Majestic, Genesis and Invincible. Ameristar offers a 10-year limited warranty on the powder-coated surface.
