Ameristar M530 and M550 are crash-rated drop-arm barriers that control entry traffic and provide anti-ram protection, rated M30/P1 and K12/L3 by Ameristar.
About Ameristar M530 & M550 Barrier Arms
At a guarded entrance, a drop-arm barrier can do two jobs: manage everyday traffic and stop a vehicle that tries to force its way in. Ameristar rates the M530 at M30/P1 and the M550 at K12/L3.
The aluminum arm carries white and yellow reflective striping, and the housing and receiver are galvanized and painted yellow, with custom colors available. A 1 HP motor with brake drives the arm, and a dual channel loop detector is included. Standard arm lengths of 10, 14, 16, 18 and 20 ft are not crash tested. Crash-tested M530 designs come in 22 ft with no excavation across the roadway and 12 ft with shallow excavation.
Options include an integrated traffic light, strobe with audible alarm, battery backup and circuit protection. For a quote, send the model, opening width, arm length, accessories and site drawings.

Anti-Ram Barriers and Bollards Limited Warranty: defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from substantial completion or 1.5 years from shipment, and in no event beyond 18 months from shipment (revised 10/15/2024).
