Deckorators ADA Handrail
Deckorators ADA-Compliant Handrail is a powder-coated aluminum secondary grab rail for stairs, built to pair with wood, composite or aluminum railing on 2.5 inch or larger aluminum posts.
About ADA Handrail
The Deckorators ADA-Compliant Handrail adds a round, graspable secondary handrail to a stair or deck railing. It is heavy-gauge powder-coated aluminum and works alongside wood, composite or aluminum railing, provided the system uses 2.5 inch or larger aluminum posts. Finishes are Textured Black, Textured White and Bronze.
The round rail measures 1-1/4 to 2 inches outside diameter, mounts 34 to 38 inches above the tread and needs at least 1-1/2 inches of wall clearance. The component list covers the handrail itself plus wall mounts, inside corner brackets, 90 degree corners, external swivels, 3 inch offset brackets and post returns, 180 degree return loops, end caps and 6 inch joiner kits. Deckorators notes it is not for structural applications, and the rail must terminate at newel posts top and bottom. Check local code with your inspector.
