Wood Fence Rails
Wood fence rails and post-and-rail fencing, from 2×4 sawn rails to poplar, locust and Northern White Cedar split and round rail, for privacy and pasture fences.
About Wood Fence Rails
Rails are the horizontal members that span between posts and hold the boards or pickets. We supply 2 x 4 sawn rails in 8, 10, 12 and 16 ft lengths for privacy and picket fences.
For post-and-rail fence, choose split rail or sawn rail in 2, 3 or 4 rail layouts. West Virginia split rail comes in poplar, which is treated, and locust, which is naturally rot resistant. Round post and rail in Northern White Cedar uses tapered rails set into holes in the posts, typically at 10 ft 4 in on center. Wire mesh can be added to a post-and-rail fence to contain pets or animals.
Rail fence is a common choice for farms, large lots, trails and property lines. For a quote, send the rail type, species, rail count per section, linear footage and whether you want mesh.
