Handrail System
The Fortress handrail system offers square and round steel handrail with brackets and fittings for ramps and stairs, mounting to wood, composite, vinyl or Fortress metal posts.
About Handrail System
Fortress makes its handrail system in two profiles. Square handrail is 1.25 inches and 93.5 inches long. Round handrail is 1.5 inches and 97 inches long, and Fortress lists the round rail as ADA compliant and 100% recyclable. Colors are Gloss Black, Black Sand and Antique Bronze, with White and Matte White offered on round only.
Brackets and adapters handle nearly any angle, and the system works with wood, composite, vinyl or Fortress metal posts. Per Fortress, it is tested to third-party code requirements. Square handrail fittings include a rake rail plug, handrail return, bracket 302 and nylon post cap. Round handrail fittings include an angle adjuster, splice, cap plug, 90 degree return, 180 degree end loop, inside corner, and round and termination brackets. Typical uses are ramps and stairs on residential and commercial projects.
Fortress lists a lifetime handrail warranty and a 15-year FortressShield warranty. For a quote, send profile, color, run lengths, post type, and the returns, corners and brackets needed.
