Where a sensing edge reacts on contact, a photo eye or light curtain detects an obstruction before anything is touched. Miller Edge offers both for door and gate safety, and we can send sell sheets and installation instructions with your quote.

The lineup includes the OG-T OptiGuard photo eye and the PE-CON photo eye conduit enclosure kit for protecting wiring at the mounting point. For wider coverage across an opening, Miller Edge offers the MLC monitored light curtain, the MLC-DUO light curtain and the RLC relay light curtain. A light curtain covers a plane with multiple beams, while a single photo eye watches one line across the opening.

The right choice depends on the operator's safety inputs, whether monitoring is required and the size of the opening. When requesting a quote, include the operator make and model, opening width and height, and how many openings need protection.
