PostMaster+
PostMaster+ is a galvanized steel fence post system for wood fences, with separate line, corner and gate posts for privacy, picket and horizontal board fence builders.
About PostMaster+
Wood posts are often the first part of a fence to fail. PostMaster+ replaces them with steel posts that carry wood boards, in lengths from 6 to 12 ft. Line and corner posts are pre-galvanized G90 steel, and the gate post is powder-coated black and can be covered for a natural wood look.
PostMaster rates line posts (0.100 in wall) at 73 mph, corner posts (0.120 in) at 70 mph and gate posts (0.100 in) at 112.6 mph, with 50 ksi yield and wind ratings on an ASCE 7-10 basis. Posts can be set in concrete or driven, and PostMaster+ carries a lifetime warranty.
The system works with spaced picket, solid picket, solid board and horizontal board wood fences. For a quote, send fence height, linear footage, and counts of line, corner and gate posts.

Best for
- Spaced picket, solid picket, solid board and horizontal board wood fences
Installation notes
- Set in concrete or drive with professional post driver equipment; driving below the frost line helps protect against frost heave.
- Post spacing varies with local conditions and wind exposure (Exposure B: urban, suburban, wooded; Exposure C: open terrain with scattered obstructions under 30 ft).
- Set at least 24 in into the ground for standard 6 ft and 8 ft fences; 6 ft fence uses 7 ft 6 in or 8 ft posts at 8 ft max spacing; 8 ft fence uses 10 or 12 ft posts at 4 ft max spacing.
- Installation guides cover horizontal solid board, vertical solid wood and lattice-top fences.
