About Prime (Composite)
Prime is the entry point to TimberTech capped composite. It keeps the choice simple with two colors, Dark Teak and Maritime Gray, and gives contractors and homeowners a capped board from a major brand for projects where budget leads the decision.
Boards have a three-sided polymer cap and are made in the USA with about 85% recycled content. They measure 5.36 x 0.94 in., square-shoulder in 16 and 20 ft and grooved in 12, 16 and 20 ft, with 12 ft fascia (0.58 x 11.95 in.) and risers (0.58 x 7.25 in.). Grooved boards use CONCEALoc or EDGELoc clips; square-shoulder boards use Cortex or TOPLoc. TimberTech lists Class C flame spread; Prime is not Ignition Resistant or WUI compliant.
Prime works on residential and commercial decks, including near lakefronts, pools and wet areas. TimberTech does not recommend it for docks, pointing to its Advanced PVC lines instead, and it is not offered in porch or cladding formats. It carries 25-year Product and Fade and Stain Limited Warranties. For a quote, include deck area, color, profile, lengths, riser count and fascia footage.
