Woodtone RealCorner is one-piece primed engineered corner trim made from knotty SPF, supplied to siding contractors and builders who want cleaner outside corners.
About RealCorner
Outside corners built from two separate boards tend to open up and need repeated caulking. Woodtone RealCorner replaces that assembly with a single engineered piece of knotty SPF, which reduces caulk joints and the corner separation that comes with them.
RealCorner ships primed and needs a topcoat on site to keep the warranty in force. It is offered in 1×4, 5/4×4 and 2×5 rabbeted profiles, each in 10 ft lengths, so you can match the corner thickness to your siding. Woodtone backs it with a 15-year warranty against manufacturer defects, excluding natural characteristics such as knots, extractives and color variation.
As with other natural wood, Woodtone advises acclimating material indoors for 5 to 7 days and reviewing every piece before installation, since installing is treated as final acceptance.
