Woodtone RealPost is a primed, finger-jointed and edge-laminated SPF post for porches, gazebos and pergolas on single-family and multifamily projects.
About RealPost
RealPost gives builders a ready-to-paint wood post in standard sizes. It is finger-jointed and edge-laminated SPF, supplied primed with a combed or resawn finish, and it is structurally certified under Intertek CCRR 1102.
Three sizes are offered: a solid 4×4 (3.5 x 3.5 in. actual), a hollow 6×6 (5.5 x 5.5 in.) and a hollow 8×8 (7.25 x 7.25 in.), all in 10 and 12 ft lengths, with custom lengths on request. Woodtone publishes allowable load tables for each size and length (see Certification and Load Tables); your designer or engineer should confirm post sizing. A topcoat is required after installation.
RealPost is commonly used for porch posts, gazebos and pergolas. Woodtone provides a 15-year warranty against manufacturer defects, excluding natural wood characteristics. To quote, list post count, size, length, finish (combed or resawn) and any custom lengths.

Installation notes
- Natural wood: acclimatize indoors 5 to 7 days; review all material before installing since installation is treated as final acceptance; fill knots with putty and use solid topcoat for blemish-free look
Warranty
15-year warranty against manufacturer defects. Warranty excludes extractives, knot bleeding, grain and color variation, knots, mineral streaks and pitch pockets.
