About Miller Edge Electrical & Pneumatic Components
A sensing edge is only as reliable as the wiring that connects it. Coil cords come in 18 AWG 2-wire (12, 20 and 24 ft), 18 AWG 4-wire (12 and 24 ft) and 22 AWG 2-wire (15 ft) and tolerate repeated extension. Retracting reels in 20 ft 2-wire and 30 ft 3-wire versions manage slack but cannot be used with monitored sensing edges.
The MET-101 edge tester checks 10K terminated, diode capacitor or non-monitored edges. Junction boxes include the metal JB-02 and the NEMA 4 polycarbonate JB-02P-W, and the KC182-12B and KC184-12B kits bundle a coil cord with two JB-02 boxes. Transmitter batteries come in 1.5V and 3.6V AA lithium. Pneumatic parts include the PS20A switch and AW10, AW12 and AW14 Air-Wave edge switches; per Miller Edge, these non-monitored systems suit pre-2010 commercial door operators, pre-2016 gate operators, or secondary entrapment protection.
