Square Knot (No-Climb) Woven Wire
Square-knot no-climb woven wire is a rigid, small-opening mesh for horse, sheep, goat and small-animal fences on farms and equestrian properties.
About Square Knot (No-Climb) Woven Wire
Square-knot woven wire, often called no-climb fence, uses a separate tie wire locked around each intersection. The result is a rigid mesh with small openings that blocks hooves and keeps animals from climbing. It is a common choice for horses, goats and sheep, and for small-animal fencing.
The smooth knot helps prevent snags and cuts, and the construction adds vertical strength to resist heavy impact. Mesh openings are commonly 2 x 4 in, and non-climb openings under 4 in are used for horses. The wire is high-tensile steel with Class 3 zinc coating, offered in heavyweight and extra-heavyweight versions. Recommended minimum heights are 48 in for horse fence and 36 in for sheep and goats.
Many horse owners top a no-climb fence with a board or rail for visibility. For a quote, send the animal, fence height, wire weight, total footage, corner and gate counts and your post choice. Axiom South prepares an itemized quote and ships nationwide.
