Overhead Gates

Overhead and vertical-lift gates raise the leaf above the opening instead of swinging or sliding, a practical option for commercial sites with little side clearance.

Gates & Access Control

About Overhead Gates

An overhead gate, also called a vertical-lift gate, lifts the gate leaf straight up and out of the way. Because it does not need room to swing or a long run beside the opening to slide, it suits loading areas, tight drive aisles, parking structures and properties where the fence line leaves no space on either side.

Vertical-lift gates are typically operator driven. Operator options in this category include the DoorKing 1175 and All-O-Matic OH-series models , and the operator is selected to match the gate that will be lifted.

Overhead gates are specified by opening width, gate height and the lift clearance available above the opening, so those three measurements are the starting point for any quote. Also tell us the gate material you have in mind, power availability at the opening and the entry controls you want, such as keypads or remotes.
