About Feeney Somerset 3-in-1 Trellis
Somerset II from Feeney is a trellis kit that gives climbing plants a clean, mostly open grid on a wall or fence. Two powder-coated 6000-series aluminum brackets, each 40 in long and spaced 2 to 6 ft apart, hold 1/8 in 316 stainless steel cables running vertically and rods running horizontally. Patented Quick-Connect fittings let the cables be trimmed to size, and Micro Cross-Clamps with locking setscrews hold the rods.
Each kit includes 2 brackets with hardware, 4 stainless cable assemblies with fittings, 5 stainless rods with Micro Cross-Clamps, 4 plastic anchor inserts and hex key wrenches. The aluminum carries an AAMA 2604 powder-coated finish. Suggested minimum trellis height is 4 ft. Per Feeney, do not mount it to vinyl siding, stucco or DryVit, and set it up before plants flower. Stand-Off fittings, extra clamps and connector tubes are available.
