About Gripple
Gripple is a 100% employee-owned manufacturer based in Sheffield, England, where it makes its products across several sites. Founder Hugh Facey, a wire salesman, invented the original Gripple wire joiner and tensioner in the late 1980s after seeing the trouble farmers had repairing fences. The company now has hubs around the world, including a manufacturing and sales hub in Chicago.
Gripple is known above all for wire joiners and tensioners that join, repair and tighten fence wire quickly, without knots or specialist skills. The range also includes ground anchors, bracing kits and clips for fencing, plus trellising for vineyards and orchards. Beyond fencing, Gripple makes wire rope suspension systems for building services and engineered products for civil, solar, utility and rail projects.
