About Gripple Connectors & Tensioners
Gripple connectors join and tension fence wire without knots. Inside each unit, ceramic gripping rollers hold the wire, and the joint can be re-tensioned later as wire relaxes. The design also aims to limit over-tensioning, which makes it a common choice for agricultural fence repair and vineyard trellising.
Selection depends on wire diameter and type. Gripple Plus comes in Small (17 to 14 gauge), Medium (13.5 to 10), Large (10 to 7.5) and Jumbo (12.5 gauge) sizes, with working loads from 660 to 1,320 lb per Gripple. Vit-S is a direct-fix tensioner for 1.40 to 2.60 mm wire, Dynamic handles 3.00 to 8.00 mm high-load wire, and barbed wire joiners are offered for mild steel or high tensile. The Gripple Torq tensioning tool, Contractor Tool and small cutters round out the kit.
