Color-Coated Chain Link
Color-coated chain link fencing in Spectra, Spectra Bond and Permafused, black, brown or green, for tennis courts, parks, schools, playgrounds and finished perimeter fences.
About Color-Coated Chain Link (Spectra / Spectra Bond / Permafused)
Color-coated chain link adds a polymer coating over zinc-coated wire, which improves appearance and adds corrosion protection. Three coating families are available: Spectra, an extruded color-coated fabric paired with color-coated framework; Spectra Bond, with an adhesive-bonded extruded coating; and Permafused, which uses a fused polymer coating.
Colors are black, brown and green, with coated fabric matched to framework and fittings. Common fabric gauges are 9, 11 and 11.5, standard mesh is a 2 in diamond, and 1.75 in mesh is used for tennis courts. Heights run from 3 to 8 ft in 1 ft steps, plus 3 ft 6 in, 10 ft and 12 ft, on 20 ft or 50 ft rolls. Warranty terms depend on the mill that supplies your order, and we confirm them on your quote.

Installation notes
- Terminal posts (end, corner, gate) must be set in concrete or otherwise anchored to resist tension.
- Stretch fabric from one terminal post to the other, then tie to line posts and rails with fence ties.
- A bottom tension wire can limit movement at the bottom of the mesh; hog-ring the fabric to it about every 2 ft.
- A top rail is common but optional if terminal posts are braced and a top tension wire is used; fences 10 ft or taller often add intermediate rails.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a top rail?
Not always. A top tension wire can replace a top rail when terminal posts are braced correctly, but taller fences often add intermediate rails.
