One product or the whole package: how to order

You can order a single product category from us or bundle your whole outdoor project into one quote. Here is how each option works.

You do not have to buy everything from one place, but you can. We quote a single item, a few related products, or an entire outdoor project, and each option gets the same itemized quote. Bundling makes the most sense when finishes need to match across brands or when several deliveries need to land in the right order.

A single product category is quoted the same way as a big project.

Many customers come to us for one thing: a run of railing for an existing deck, a gate and operator, replacement post caps, or a set of WeatherStrong outdoor kitchen cabinets. That is a normal order for us. A single-category quote still includes every part needed to finish the job, such as posts, brackets, hardware, and fasteners, so you are not left hunting for small parts.

Single-category orders work well when:

  • The rest of the project is already built or already purchased.
  • Your contractor is sourcing other materials and asked you to handle one category.
  • You are phasing the project over more than one season.
  • You need a repair, an extension, or a matching add-on to an existing installation.

Bundling puts every category on one quote.

We supply decking, railing, fencing, gates and access control, pergolas and outdoor structures, outdoor kitchens, cladding, lighting and hardware, Woodard furniture, and 1800Awnings products. When you send plans for the whole space, we quote it as one package. The practical advantages:

  • One itemized document. Every product, color, and quantity is listed in one place, so you or your contractor can check it against the plans.
  • One point of contact. Questions about decking, railing, and lighting go to the same person instead of three vendors.
  • Fewer gaps. Items that sit between categories, such as post sleeves for a railing on a composite deck, or lighting that mounts to a rail cap, are less likely to be missed.
  • Planned delivery. We can schedule shipments around your build sequence instead of having everything arrive at once.

Matching colors and finishes across brands takes planning.

A deck from one manufacturer, railing from another, and a pergola from a third will not share the same color names, and “black” or “bronze” can vary from brand to brand. When we quote a package, we check finish compatibility before you order. Here is what we look at:

PairingWhat to check
Decking and railingWhether the railing maker offers a post sleeve or cap that matches or complements the decking color.
Railing and fencingWhether the same metal finish is available in both lines, or whether one brand covers both.
Pergola and railingPowder-coat color names and sheen. We recommend comparing physical samples side by side.
Outdoor kitchen and decking or paversCabinet color against the surface it sits on, and the countertop material if one is included.
Lighting and hardwareFixture finish against railing and fence finish, especially for post cap and stair lights.

Our showroom in Spanish Fort has select finish samples. If the product you want is not on display, ask us about samples before you commit, and compare them outdoors in daylight.

Delivery can be scheduled to match your build sequence.

A typical outdoor project goes in a predictable order: framing and decking, then railing and stairs, then structures and kitchens, then lighting and finishing touches. Having every pallet arrive on day one can crowd the site and expose materials to weather longer than needed. On a package order, we can talk through splitting deliveries so materials arrive closer to when they will be installed.

Lead times vary by brand and product, and some items ship from different manufacturers on different schedules. We give a delivery estimate with every quote, and we will flag any product that is likely to drive the overall timeline.

Here are a few examples of how customers order.

  1. Railing only. A homeowner with a sound wood deck wants to replace old wood rails with aluminum. We quote posts, rails, a stair section, a gate, mounts for the existing framing, and caps.
  2. Fence and gate. A property owner needs a perimeter fence with a driveway gate and an automatic operator. We quote fence panels, posts, the gate, the operator, and access control as one package.
  3. Deck and railing. A contractor building a new composite deck orders decking, fascia, hidden fasteners, railing, and post cap lights together so colors and quantities line up. For framing guidance, see composite decking joist spacing.
  4. Full backyard. A homeowner sends a landscape plan with a deck, cable railing, a pergola, an outdoor kitchen, and lighting. We quote the whole plan, confirm finishes across brands, and plan deliveries in stages.

Avoid these common mistakes when ordering in pieces.

  • Ordering railing before confirming the finished deck height, which sets guard requirements and post length.
  • Choosing a pergola color from a screen instead of a physical sample.
  • Forgetting electrical planning for lights or gate operators until after the deck boards are down.
  • Buying the main product from one source and the hardware from another, then finding the parts are not compatible.

Whatever you order, follow each manufacturer’s current installation guide, and confirm guard, stair, and structure requirements with your local building department, since local amendments vary.

Frequently asked questions.

Is there a minimum order?

Contact us with what you need. We regularly quote small orders such as hardware, a gate, or a short railing run.

Can I add products after I order?

Yes, though adding items later may mean a separate shipment. Planning the full scope up front usually keeps delivery simpler.

Can you match products I already have?

Often. Send photos, the brand and color if you know them, and any product labels. We will tell you what we can match and what will be close but not identical.

Do you install the package?

No. We supply the materials and are building a nationwide network of independent installers. You can search by ZIP code on our Find an Installer page.

Whether you need one product or the whole backyard, send your plans, measurements, or photos through our quote form and tell us which categories to include. To see how the process runs, read how Axiom South helps, or browse outdoor structures to start planning.
