About ADA Handrail
Ramps and stairs often need a graspable secondary rail alongside the guard rail, and Envision makes one to match its own railing lines. The ADA handrail comes in aluminum, in Matte White, Textured Bronze or Textured Black, and in 1-1/2 inch vinyl, in White, Almond or Khaki. Vinyl components are aluminum reinforced.
Versions are matched to Designer Aluminum, Modern Aluminum, Traditional Vinyl, Modern Vinyl, Designer Vinyl and Modern Vinyl XL, so the handrail picks up the profile of the main railing. Per the manufacturer, it meets IRC R311 and IBC 1011, 1012 and 1014 and is compliant with the ADA Standard (28 CFR Part 36), installed 34 to 38 inches above the surface with a bracket every 6 feet on center. End caps, beauty rings, connectors, elbows and corners finish the runs.
