About Electric Fence Wire & Components

Electric fence wire carries a low-impedance charge from an energizer to deter animals. It can add security to an existing fence or serve as a low-cost temporary or permanent fence on its own. The wire is strong, smooth and galvanized to resist breakage over long runs.

Gauge and spool length are only part of the system. Axiom South offers 17, 14 and 12.5 gauge wire on quarter-mile and half-mile spools, plus the components that make it work: energizers, insulators, ground rods, gate handles, splicing sleeves and tensioners. Keep the wire off vegetation and away from direct post contact by using insulators. One energizer terminal connects to the wire and the other to a ground rod. Warning signs belong on the fence as well.

Common uses are cattle and deer or wildlife fences and an electric offset on sheep, goat and horse fences. For a quote, send line length, strand count, gauge, post type and energizer needs. Orders ship nationwide.
