AbsolutePost from Woodtone is an engineered Western Red Cedar post, kiln dried to resist warping and splitting and made with exterior structural glues. Woodtone states the post is structurally certified in the U.S. and Canada under Intertek CCRR 1102. The hollow core can carry lighting cords, which makes post lights and wiring simpler to plan.
Sizes are 4×4 (3.5 x 3.5 in actual, pack of 112), 6×6 (5.5 x 5.5 in, pack of 45) and 8×8 (7.25 x 7.25 in, pack of 28), each in 8, 10 and 12 ft lengths. Solid posts run about 1 in shorter than ordered. Finishes are FinishReady (raw) and Blue Moon (primed). Woodtone warrants primed posts for 30 years and raw posts for 20 years against manufacturer defects, and uncoated posts need an on-site topcoat. Woodtone also publishes centric load values; refer to its documentation for design.
