About HySecurity HydraWedge SM50
HydraWedge SM50 is HySecurity's crash-rated wedge barrier for sites that need to stop vehicles, not just control them. Per the manufacturer it is rated ASTM F2656 M50-P1, raises to 1,000 mm (3.3 ft), and opens or closes in 3 seconds, with a 1-second emergency mode. It is rated for 22,000 lb per wheel and 44,000 lb per axle, and 300 cycles per hour on single units.
Plate widths are 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 or 4 m (6.5 to 13 ft). Models include the single SM50 (2 hp), SM50 UPS, SM50 Twin (two wedges, 5 hp) and Twin UPS. A spring counterbalance and hand pump allow manual operation, and options include UPS backup, an LED light bar and the HyNet Gateway.
The shallow foundation matches the roadway; excavation is the plate width plus 700 mm wide, 3.7 m long and 300 mm deep, and units can be set with a loader or forklift instead of a crane. For a quote, send lane width, single or twin, UPS needs and site conditions.
