Simpson Strong-Tie makes connection products for structural steel buildings as well as wood framing. This group covers three products used on commercial and seismic-resistant steel projects.
The Yield-Link Moment Connection (YLMC) is a bolted, replaceable beam-column connection for special moment frames. The Yield-Link Brace Connection (YLBC) provides bolted seismic energy dissipation with replaceable yielding elements. QuickFrames is pre-engineered adjustable framing for rooftop and floor openings that bolts together, which is useful for mechanical units, hatches and penetrations on commercial roofs and floors.
Yield-Link connections are part of the building's structural design and are specified by the engineer of record, so pricing starts with the steel drawings or connection schedule.
