About Rightwood Plus
Rightwood Plus takes Alta's value board and adds protection. The 5/8 in fence board is treated against wood-ingesting insects, including Formosan termites, and gains a wood stabilizing additive that helps prevent warping and cupping, plus rot protection, compared with standard Rightwood.
Boards come pre-stained with a water-based protectant that Alta describes as safe for people and pets, and the ends are wax sealed. Alta backs it with a 10-year warranty and rates its longevity at 12 years. Because the boards ship stained, there is no separate staining step, and Alta describes installation as simple and fast.
