Eva-Last

Eva-Last is a composite building materials maker based in South Africa, with a U.S. arm, Eva-Last Americas, in Plano, Texas. The company says it has worked in green building since 2007, making decking, cladding and fencing from recycled plastic and bamboo fiber, with solar power used in its manufacturing. Its products are positioned as low-maintenance alternatives to timber for outdoor spaces.

Eva-Last offers several decking constructions. Infinity and Eva-tech are bamboo and polyethylene composites, Infinity with a protective cap. Apex is a lightweight capped bamboo foamed-PVC board, and Pioneer adds glass fiber reinforcement with a printed surface that replicates rare hardwoods. The caps are designed to resist fading, scratching and staining, and the boards resist decay and insects. The products suit residential decks, patios and commercial outdoor projects.
