About Heavy Timber & Mass Timber Connectors
Mass timber and cross-laminated timber construction uses connection hardware that is quite different from light wood framing. Simpson Strong-Tie offers a dedicated line for heavy timber and mass timber projects.
Products include the MTWS mass timber washer strap, MTW angled washer and MTLD lifting device for handling panels. Column connections include the MCB and MCBS column bases, the MCT column tie and the MPSC point-supported column connector. The E angle bracket is made for cross-laminated timber. ACBH and CBH concealed beam hangers and DGT and DGHT top-flange fire wall hangers handle beam connections. Fastening and anchoring are covered by Strong-Drive SDCFC Timber-CF screws and Timber-SET structural epoxy for glued-in rods.
