About DoorKing eVolve 2160 Swing Gate Operator
The eVolve 2160 brings brushless DC drive to DoorKing's swing gate operator lineup. It is rated for Class I-IV use and handles single or bi-parting gates. Programming happens on an onboard LCD with USB backup and event logging, and electronic magnetic limits set travel.
Two models are offered. The 2160-380 uses a 500 W (1/2 HP) motor for gates up to 18 ft and 1,200 lb; the 2160-381 uses a 750 W (1 HP) motor for gates up to 22 ft and 1,800 lb. Both run on 115 or 230 VAC single-phase power, swing 90 degrees in about 10-12 seconds, and include two 7 Ah backup batteries. The powder-coated 1/4" steel chassis sits in a split housing for arm access.
Typical sites include apartments, gated communities, self-storage and parking facilities. Monitored Type B1 and/or B2 entrapment protection is required, and a heater kit is needed in freezing temperatures.
