About DoorKing eVolve 2170 Slide Gate Operator
DoorKing's eVolve 2170 slide gate operator pairs a brushless DC motor with a chain drive and a 30:1 belt-driven gear reduction. It is rated Class I through IV, runs gates up to 40 ft long at up to 12 in/sec, and operates on selectable 115 or 230 VAC single-phase power with two built-in 7 Ah backup batteries.
Four models let you choose motor size and manual release. The 2170-380 and 2170-382 use a 500 W (1/2 HP) motor for gates up to 2,300 lb; the 2170-381 and 2170-383 use a 750 W (1 HP) motor for gates up to 3,500 lb. The 380 and 381 have an internal gearbox release, while the 382 and 383 use an external chain-drop release. Onboard LCD programming, USB configuration backup, diagnostics and event logging come standard. The manufacturer provides a 5-year limited warranty, excluding batteries.
Monitored Type B1 and/or B2 entrapment protection is required, and a heater kit is required in freezing temperatures. To quote, send gate length, weight, release preference, voltage and accessories.
