Viking Solar Gate Operators
Viking G5, R6 and K2 solar gate operators are DC-motor swing and slide openers designed to run on solar power for driveways and properties without convenient AC.
About Viking Solar Gate Operators
Viking Solar Gate Operators are built for gates where running power is impractical. The G5 Solar swing operator handles up to 1,000 lbs and 16 ft for residential and commercial use. The R6 Solar swing is residential, up to 700 lbs and 14 ft, and the K2 Solar slide is residential, up to 700 lbs and 30 ft.
These solar gate openers run on a 12 VDC solar power supply. The G-5 Solar needs one 12V battery and one 12V solar panel and uses a 24 VDC motor, and the R-6 Solar chassis has room for a 35 Ah battery. Cycle speeds are 14 to 16 seconds per 90 degrees for the G-5, 13 to 16 seconds for the R-6 and 12 in per second for the K-2. Each unit has in-unit lightning and surge protection rated 10,000 A / 20,000 V.
Viking operators carry the Viking/FAAC limited warranty. For a quote, include gate type, weight, length and sun exposure at the site.
