DoorKing

DoorKing, Inc. was founded in 1948 by M.K. "Rich" Richmond and is headquartered in Inglewood, California, where it runs manufacturing, engineering, training and shipping from seven buildings near Los Angeles International Airport. The family-owned company began with garage door openers, built its first swing gate operators in 1971 and launched its first telephone entry system in 1983. Today it focuses on gate automation and access control.

DoorKing makes vehicular gate operators, telephone and video entry systems, parking and traffic control products and access control systems. The company says it was the first to use a microprocessor in a gate operator circuit board, and it added entrapment protection to its operators long before that became a standard requirement. Its equipment serves single-family homes, gated communities, apartment complexes, commercial properties and parking facilities.

Axiom South supplies DoorKing 6300 Series and eVolve 2160 swing gate operators, 9200 Series and eVolve 2170 slide gate operators, 1175 overhead gate operators and 1601 and 1602 barrier gate operators. Access and entry products include telephone and video entry systems, 1500 Series and 1515 access controllers and keypads, readers, credentials and AVI, loop detectors, safety and entrapment devices, power, solar and backup, remotes and receivers, and posts and kiosks.
